Trees will be the topic of discussion as Project 88 turns 20. Celebrating the milestone, a two-part project by Prajna Desai titled Never Was a Shade will open on May 14. Part one will feature artists like Bansri Chavda, Claire Baker, Debabatra Hazra, Nisha Manavi, among other notable names. Gallerist Sree Goswami (below) told this diarist, "The exhibition worked out quite serendipitously - my personal collection has many tree-related works, something I am passionate about. When Prajna approached me, it perfectly dovetailed with our twentieth-year programming."
