“The clocks give me an excuse to document memories of this city,” says photographer Chirodeep Chaudhuri about his exhibition Seeing Time at Project 88, in which he chronicles public clocks in the city. A version of this show debuted in 1999 with photos of 22 clocks, and today — through research, tips from friends and strangers, and sometimes luck — that number has grown to 86. Chaudhuri describes his 24-year project as an “obsessive pursuit”.
