We are pleased to announce the participation of Prajakta Potnis at Serendipity Arts Festival 2025 in Goa at the Barge.
In a site-specific light and sculptural installation, a mobile beam of light forces for temporary points of contemplation as it sweeps across the surfaces of the Neil PNJ 143 barge. Potnis, drawing on the visual and symbolic vocabularies of searchlights and lighthouses, choreographs a beam of light to slowly move across the barge’s interior surfaces, pausing at crevices and objects to expose the vessel as a forensic archive of capitalist extraction—an index of the entangled processes through which labour and land are mobilized, exploited, and rendered into economic value.
As visitors traverse the barge’s interior cavity, shifting light directs their attention to the tensions between visibility and invisibility, presence and erasure.
The ehibition runs from 12 December 2025 to 21 December 2025.
