Neha Choksi is taking an array of her work to two British galleries: John Hansard Gallery, Southampton (University of Southampton), followed by The Enclave Gallery (London). The show is curated by David Thorp, and is titled Quarantania, after a work by Louise Bourgeois that she described as growing from the duality between the isolated individual and the shared awareness of the group.
The exhibition will showcase the work of three artists (the other two being Eva Kotátková from the Czech Republic and Taus Makhacheva from Russia) who all work with video, performance and sculpture, exploring their personal lives and their historical and present-day social environments in poetic and psychological terms.
